Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Mobilcab is operated by Ștefan and Fineas, natural persons, under the trading name Mobilcab (“Mobilcab”, “we”). There is no registered company (SRL) yet. As soon as one is formed, this section will be updated with the company name, registered office, tax ID (CUI) and Trade Register number.
These terms apply to your use of the Mobilcab app and the mobilcab.com website. Creating an account or continuing to use the service means you have read them and agree to them.
2. The service
Mobilcab is furniture design software that runs in the browser, on laptop, tablet or phone. It lets you design furniture and generate cutlists and CNC export files. The app does not include an AI assistant.
The service is in active development: we add, change and sometimes remove features. We reserve the right to do this without prior notice for minor changes; for significant changes we tell you in advance.
The Mobilcab software, interface, marks and documentation belong to us. The projects you create belong to you (see section 9).
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give us accurate information.
- You’re responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens in your account.
- An account is for one person or one workshop.
4. Plans and prices
We offer a free plan and, when they are turned on, paid plans. The available plans, what each includes and its price are shown on the Pricing page at the time you subscribe; we don’t list them here, so the Terms don’t need to change with every new plan.
- Prices are in Romanian lei (RON). Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle, as the official seller, based on where you are.
- We may change prices for future subscription periods. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription.
Until paid plans are activated, access through an access code is free, in exchange for the feedback you give on the app.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
When a paid plan exists, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Payments, taxes, invoices to you and part of the withdrawal rights follow Paddle’s checkout buyer terms. We don’t store your card details.
- Monthly subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime, from your account, once the billing portal is live. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; until then, you keep access.
- Yearly subscriptions: cancelling stops the renewal. We don’t refund the unused part of the year, except for the 14-day withdrawal right (if it applies to you). When we turn on paid plans through Paddle, we will also publish a separate refund policy (which Paddle requires); until then, the rules in this section are enough.
- Invoices to the buyer are issued by Paddle.
Consumers (Romanian GEO 34/2014). If you are a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, from the order date or, for a subscription, from the first payment. The right does not apply to a digital service that has started, with your express agreement, before those 14 days end. You request this through Paddle or by writing to the address in section 17.
6. The Founding Partner program
- The program is limited to the first 15 users, with the possibility of extending it — any extension of the number of spots is announced publicly, not silently.
- Reserving a spot is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. Access through an access code is offered free of charge, in explicit exchange for the feedback you give on the app — not an unconditional gift.
- When the paid plan is activated, Founding Partners get a 20% discount on the price, valid for 12 months from activation.
- After the 12 months, the price automatically returns to the standard one — the discount doesn’t stay active indefinitely.
- Founding Partner benefits are personal and can’t be transferred.
7. Check the results before production
This section matters: please read it carefully.
- Mobilcab is a real help in designing and exporting cut dimensions, but its results are advisory. Dimensions, cutlists, CNC export files and any suggestion from the app are proposals, not technical checks or guarantees.
- The final check is yours. Before cutting, ordering material or sending a file to a CNC, you’re responsible for verifying dimensions, cuts, clearances, joints, hardware and the cutlist.
- We don’t guarantee that the resulting designs are correct, complete, manufacturable, or compatible with the machines, materials or hardware you use, and Mobilcab isn’t liable for manufacturing errors.
- If the app ever includes an AI assistant, its suggestions will be of the same kind: proposals, not checks.
- Using the service, including generating cutlists or CNC exports, means you have read and understood this section.
8. Our liability
- The service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
- To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect losses, such as wrongly cut material, lost working or machine time, lost profit or lost clients.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage (zero while access is free).
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights the law gives you as a consumer that can’t be excluded by contract.
9. Your projects
- The projects you create belong to you.
- You only give us the right to store and process them as needed to provide the service (for example, to save them, show them on all your devices and generate exports).
- We reserve the right, in the future, to use anonymised and aggregated project data (not raw data) to develop assisted furniture-generation features. When that processing starts, you will be able to object from your account. This is a right reserved for the future, not processing happening today.
- If we introduce an AI assistant that sends project data to an external provider, we tell you beforehand, and the data and the provider appear in the Privacy Policy.
10. Problem reports
When you send a report with “Report a problem”, the app automatically attaches the technical context we need to reproduce the issue. The full list is in the Privacy Policy. The Mobilcab team uses this data only to diagnose and fix the reported problem.
The 3D capture and the project file are sent only if you tick the box, separately, in the dialog. A project may contain your own clients’ data (names, dimensions, prices): tick it only if you have the right to send it to us.
11. What you may not do
- Use the service for illegal purposes, fraud, spam, infringing other people’s rights, or to disrupt its operation or security (including malware, probing, abusive scraping).
- Copy, decompile or try to extract the app’s code.
- Resell access, or use automation to get around your plan’s limits.
We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breaches, non-payment (once paid plans exist), fraud or a security risk.
12. Availability
- Mobilcab runs in the browser and needs an internet connection to save projects to the cloud. A draft may stay in the browser until you reconnect; we don’t guarantee offline use.
- We aim to keep the service available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We don’t guarantee any particular availability.
13. Ending the agreement
- You can close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice, except in serious cases.
- Cancelling a subscription (when one exists) keeps the account and the projects; you only lose paid access at the end of the period already paid for.
- Deleting the account removes the account and its data from the live database at once. Before that, you can download your data from the account menu, as a JSON file (your account, projects in their current state — not the version history —, presets and settings). Afterwards the data can no longer be exported.
14. Personal data
How we process your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll publish the new version on this page and, for significant changes, tell you by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. We try to resolve any disagreement directly with you first.
If you are a professional, disputes go to the competent courts in Romania. If you are a consumer, you may also go to the courts of your home; you may also contact ANPC (www.anpc.ro) or an alternative dispute-resolution body. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
17. Contact
For any question about these terms, write to us at contact@mobilcab.com.
